
About Health and Safety
The UCEA Board has established a Health and Safety Committee to act as a forum for the cross-fertilisation of ideas across all the different professional groups which have an interest in health and safety management, principles and practices within higher education. Employer-led and informed by experience across the sector, the Health and Safety Committee provides advice, guidance and examples of good practice on all matters related to health and safety in higher education.

Leading Health and Safety at Work is a joint publication from UCEA and the Universities Safety and Health Association (USHA) and provides a list of leadership actions for heads of universities and HE colleges and members of their governing bodies.
UCEA has developed this new guidance on the health and safety aspects of student placements in association with USHA (Universities Safety and Health Association) and HEOPS (Higher Education Occupational Physicians/Practitioners).
