Employee Relations

 

Positive employee relations are important for a host of issues and areas in the higher education environment. UCEA is committed to improving positive employee relations, including Health and Safety and working to promote equality of opportunity. 

 

The Joint Working Project was designed to help promote positive employee relations at an institutional level. The Joint Working Project assisted institutions at many levels and helped develop some of the skills necessary for building good employee relations locally. It additionally ran a series of seminars delivering joint training in conducting equal pay reviews and a range of other areas. A full report will be come available on this web page in July 2008.

 

There have been two publications from this project.

The first is a Research Report   Working in Partnership Report , including a review of Phase 1 of the project.

The second is a Joint Working Toolkit    Toolkit  to enable institutions to audit their current arrangements.’

  

A short 10 minute film, The Journey to Joint Working, which shows the benefits that Joint Working has brought to institutions that have adopted it their preferred way of working is now available to view.
