Events

UCEA seminars, workshops and events offer unique forums for HEI colleagues to come together, network and share ideas about topical issues affecting HE. They are delivered by experts in their particular fields and offer case study speakers from HEIs who share their practical experience in HR, employment and health and safety issues. Participants find our events to be very useful, both in terms of content, and in the networking opportunities they provide. To ensure the best experience for participants, all workshop numbers are restricted to between 14 and 20 participants. A number of our workshops are now available to be run in-house, enabling a degree of adaptation to meet specific HEI needs and for larger numbers of a team to benefit from the training. Where it is possible for workshops to be run in-house, it is indicated. We are also able to provide in-house training on a range of other topics. Please email Marc Whittaker or Sharron Powley for more information.

Mediation training

UCEA has widened its offering of workshops this academic year. We have been pleased to add the National Certificate in Workplace Mediation (NCWM) training course which is fully accredited (NVQ 3) through the Open College Network (OCN).

This five-day course develops participants’ mediation skills at a local level. Because of the intensive nature of this workshop, participant numbers are limited to a maximum of 8. The next course that we are taking bookings for is the April and May run.

If you are interested in this or have questions about other seminars, please email the seminars team

New events

We refresh our programme throughout the year. More details on each event and the on-line booking booking form can be found via the links below. For enquiries email seminars@ucea.ac.uk
