UCEA Health and Safety Committee vacancy

UCEA is seeking expressions of interest from vice-chancellors, DVCs or PVCs for a vacancy on the UCEA Health and Safety Committee.  The committee acts as a central point for discussion and resolution of health and safety issues in relation to both staff and students. It advises the UCEA Board and higher education institutions on these matters and develops and publishes guidance where necessary.  UCEA has a strategy on health, safety and wellbeing, for which the committee maintains oversight.  The committee meets twice a year at Woburn House, London, and is chaired by Professor Simone Wonnacott, Principal of Leeds College of Art. It includes representatives from UUK, AHUA, AMOSSHE, BUFDG, UHR, AUDE and USHA among others. If you are interested in this vacancy, please contact h.fairfoul@ucea.ac.uk.
 

UCEA Clinical Academic Staff Advisory Group (CASAG)

  • A forum for the consideration of employment issues for clinical academic staff
  • Advises and informs UCEA and other interested parties
  • On behalf of the UCEA Board represents the sector’s interests in matters relating to the NHS and related health bodies changes that may impact on the HE workforce   
  • Representatives nominated by a range of sector bodies and groups

UCEA Scottish Committee

  • Considers HR and employee relations matters as they affect members in Scotland
  • Provides a forum to inform UCEA and its Board on Scottish Government, Parliamentary and funding issues and for dialogue with Universities Scotland
  • Representatives nominated from Scottish members of UHR, AHUA, BUFDG in addition to CSC and US nominees
