Framework Agreement

The Framework Agreement for the Modernisation of HE Pay Structures (2003) was the outcome of major structural changes in the sector over the last two decades and the need to reform the existing multi-employer bargaining machinery. The Agreement was also the result of growing concern about both equal pay in the sector and uncompetitive reward systems.
