Chief Executive Jocelyn Prudence to leave UCEA to take up new role

UCEA is today announcing that Jocelyn Prudence, Chief Executive at UCEA, is to step down from her post at the start of September. Jocelyn is to take up the role of University Secretary and Chief Operating Officer at the University of Stirling.

Professor Paul Curran, Chair of the Universities and Colleges Employers Association (UCEA) said:
“Although the Board is disappointed that Jocelyn will be leaving we, and the sector as a whole, are most grateful for her leadership and guidance in helping to establish UCEA as the excellent membership organisation it is today. We all wish Jocelyn every success in the future.”

Jocelyn Prudence said: “It has been a privilege to work for UCEA as Chief Executive. There have been many challenges to deal with, which have made the work fascinating and rewarding. I have greatly enjoyed working with colleagues throughout the sector and UCEA staff who are committed to serving the needs of the UCEA membership in these ever changing times.”

Jocelyn joined UCEA as Chief Executive in 2001. UCEA’s Board has started the recruitment process for the new Chief Executive. Helen Fairfoul, UCEA’s Deputy Chief Executive, has been appointed as Acting Chief Executive from September until the end of the year.
