This mini-conference took place Tuesday 21 May 2013. It looked at:

  • staffing strategies and pay & benefits packages for staffing UK University campuses overseas;
  • legal employment issues relating to international operations in non-EU countries such as Malaysia, Dubai, China and India;
  • tax implications for universities and their staff when they send UK employees overseas or engage overseas staff;
  • how to get the best use out of the UCEA Toolkit, designed for HR practitioners in higher education, on employing staff overseas;
  • how HR colleagues have tackled these various issues ‘on the ground’ through case study presentations from UK HEIs.
