The next UCEA Immigration HR network meeting will be taking place in London on the morning of Tuesday 27 February.

The meeting is very informal and is intended to provide an opportunity for HR specialists to share good practice and resolve problems.

The agenda will include an update from Universities UK on key immigration issues for HEIs. The meetings will also provide time to discuss the response of HR teams to the latest position on EU citizens’ rights agreed in Phase 1 of Brexit negotiations.

Graeme Ross (University of Cambridge) and Stephen Longson (UK SBS) will give an overview on a collective approach to current immigration rule updates e.g. Tier1/2/5 and the sector-wide immigration group. They will be joined by Natasha Bevan (Royal Society), who will discuss some operational changes to, and new guidance on, the Tier 1 route.

Please email Anita Jermyn (a.jermyn@ucea.ac.uk) if you have any additional issues you would like discussed at the network meetings.

The meeting will commence at 10.30am with coffee available from 10.00am and will run until a networking lunch at approximately 12.30pm. Colleagues from the afternoon will be invited to attend lunch enabling attendees from both the morning and afternoon meetings to network.
