This series of Reward practitioner workshops offer participants a series of self-standing, but linked workshops to review and discuss practical reward issues in higher education. The workshops will enable participants to learn more about latest practice in the HE sector and outside, reflect on current thinking and discuss new approaches.
These workshops replace the ‘Innovations in Reward’ workshops run in earlier academic years and are part of a wider selection of UCEA events looking at issues around pay and reward, which includes the highly rated intensive two-day residential UCEA masterclass Developing your reward strategy: issues, challenges and solutions.
These new practitioner workshops are more rooted in practicalities than the masterclass or the ‘Innovations in Reward’ workshops and are aimed specifically at staff with responsibility for reward and their teams. Participants will be asked to share with the group the challenges that they are facing.
This second workshop will improve knowledge and understanding of pay data and its use in reviewing pay structures, assessing equal pay gaps, and informing senior reward decisions.
The guest speaker is Chris Carter, Head of Reward at SAS.
The workshop will run between 10.10am (registration from 9.40) and end at 3.45pm.
A timed programme will be available shortly. The morning group exercise will include spread sheet work and therefore participants will find it beneficial to bring their own laptop which has Excel pre-loaded on it.
