Hotels and other overnight accomodation
BMA House, the venue for the conference is situated in the leafy Bloomsbury area of central London. The area is best known as the home of the University of London and its constituent colleges and some of the UK’s best-known hospitals. Three of London’s main railway terminuses – Euston, St Pancras and Kings Cross – are situated on its northern edge on the main Euston Road. The closest London Underground stations to BMA House are Euston, Euston Square, Kings Cross St Pancras and Russell Square.

The area is well served by public transport and a range of hotels. These vary from four and five-star hotels, including well-known international brands, to smaller locally owned establishments. Additionally, for the more budget inclined traveller, the University of London’s halls of residence let their rooms at a nightly rate.

As noted, the conference fee does not cover the cost of overnight accommodation and so attendees are free to select the accommodation that best meets their needs and budgets.

The list below includes links to a handful of hotels close to BMA House and also the University of London’s accommodation offering.

UCEA staff have visited two local hotels – the Hilton London Euston and Holiday Inn London - Bloomsbury – and would happily stay at them.

UCEA has not visited the other listed venues, they are listed because of their vicinity to BMA House.

Conference attendees may of course be looking to book an extended break to the UK and so they may prefer to book accommodation in other, more competitively priced parts of London and travel to the conference by public transport.

Websites such as Expedia and Booking.com may list the hotels below at different nightly rates to those advertised on the hotels’ own websites. Websites such as Airbnb may offer attendees alternative types of accommodation.
