Jerry Cope

Jerry has been Pro-Chancellor and Chair of the Board of Governors at London South Bank University since 2015. He was previously Chair of the Board of Governors at Kingston University until 2011. Jerry spent 30 years with the Post Office and Royal Mail, leaving in 2003. He started in personnel and industrial relations before moving into strategy and line management. He was appointed to the Post Office Main Board in 1996, taking up appointment as Group Managing Director with particular responsibility for international businesses, before becoming UK managing director. During his time at the Post Office, Jerry was a shareholder Director at Camelot. Jerry was also Chair of the Prison Service Pay Review Body for eight years and is currently Chair of the NHS Pay Review Body. He is also Treasurer of the English Bridge Union. Other current appointments include being a Pension Trustee, Chair of the leadership and change consultancy t-three, and Chair of the logistics consultancy PLCWW. He joined the UCEA Board in June 2016.
