Getting the most from UCEA membership is designed for colleagues who are new to the sector or have moved into new roles, as well as those interested to learn more about UCEA’s range of services and current programme of work.
Delivered by UCEA officers, this online event provides an overview of UCEA’s role and key areas of work including the range of activities and services we offer. Participants will have an opportunity to explore how our services can support your institution.
The areas covered will include HR policy advice, the multi-employer pay negotiations, UCEA’s ‘National Conversation’, our research and surveys on reward and workforce issues, sector pensions support, the employment of clinical academics, health and safety, and communications support.
This online event will take place on the morning of Tuesday 18 January and will run between 10.00 am and 11.30 am. There will be just over an hour of presentations followed by informal discussions and Q&As and a short overview of using the UCEA website.
The booking form asks participants to indicate how long they have worked in HE to give us a better idea of the range of knowledge of those attending. We also ask participants note if there are any particular areas of our work they would like to know more about. Time allowing, we will try to accommodate such requests.

Who may wish to participate?
All individuals who are given access to UCEA services by their HEIs are eligible to participate and the event will be of particular interest to colleagues with institutional oversight of staffing and HR, for example Pro-Vice-Chancellors with an HR portfolio, and senior colleagues in HR, finance, payroll and communications departments.Attendance fee and how to book
Participation is free for the event.
