UCEA’s Annual Conference on health, safety and wellbeing - Tuesday 16 June 2026 - Central London

Event Overview

This year’s UCEA conference with a health, safety and wellbeing theme taking place on Tuesday 16 June focuses on how HEIs can build safer, healthier and more inclusive workplaces. In addition to hearing sector-specific updates on health, safety and wellbeing priorities, participants will hear expert and real-life perspectives on how to develop a strong and sustainable safety culture, take practical, whole‑university approaches to managing stress and wellbeing and how to prepare for upcoming legislative changes around protection of premises. The conference offers clear, useful takeaways for anyone involved in supporting workplace health, safety and wellbeing across HE.

Programme

Running between 10.00 am and 3.30 pm the conference will be chaired by Mike Parker, Chair of the Board of Governors, Liverpool John Moores University and member of the UCEA Board.

  • Working collaboratively with trade unions and staff representatives in a HE environment - Scott Trim, Director of Health, Safety and Business Continuity, Aston University

Early-bird price for UCEA members: £349 (VAT free) per place until 5.00 pm on Monday 18 May.

Full price for UCEA members: £375 (VAT free) per place after Monday 18 May.
