This workshop is a practical, interactive online workshop split over two half-days. Using a mixture of plenary discussion, breakout sessions and role plays you will understand all about mediation - what it is and isn’t, how it works and the benefits – and have the opportunity to put theory into practice with an effective framework and the key skills to manage low-level disputes.

Led by a trainer who has extensive experience within the HE sector where she mediates regularly and also delivers certificated workplace mediation training. Our trainer has consistently received excellent feedback from previous participants.

This workshop is designed for HR professionals and others responsible for staff mediation in HEIs, whether new to mediation or seeking a refresher.
Ideal for those with no formal training in mediation skills or conflict management, as well as those looking to refine or revisit their approach, it provides essential knowledge and practical techniques.
Attendees will gain the confidence to intervene effectively in low-level workplace conflicts and conduct mediated interventions, including in online settings.
