Clinical academic HR network meeting

We are happy to confirm that the next Clinical academic HR network meeting for operational HR specialists working in medical and dental schools will be held as an online meeting using Microsoft Teams on Thursday 4 May.
The meeting will commence at 2.00 pm and will run for approximately an hour.

Agenda

Agenda items are still being finalised but is likely to include the following issues:

  • An update from NHS Employers on local clinical excellence awards
  • Pay scales from clinical academics
  • Principles and obligations
  • Follett principles
  • Pensions, including implications of pensions tax changes in the Budget

The aim of these meetings is to be as interactive and practical as possible – discussing or seeking support on issues affecting HR in medical schools. As such, please do contact Nicola (n.carter@ucea.ac.uk) with suggestions for:

  • Issues to discuss or seek feedback on from other CAHRN members
  • Examples of work that you have done that you would like to share with CAHRN members.

Joining the network meeting

You will be able to join the meeting either via the Microsoft Teams App, via your web browser (i.e. Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Safari).
Please note that we do not make audio recordings of UCEA Network meetings.

Who should attend, attendance fee and how to book

The CAHRN meetings are some of our most popular events. To ensure that as many of our member HEIs as possible have access to places, whilst ensuring that discussions can take place, the maximum number of attendees for this meeting is 80.
We will therefore limit places to three places per HEI. Institutions which make more than three booking will be asked to confirm the name of the three colleagues who will attend the meeting. Waiting list priority will be given to HEIs without representation.
The cost per place is £45 (VAT free) for attendees from UCEA member HEIs.
When booking a place, you now have the option of paying online by credit / debit card (note our online booking system indicates the ticket as £45).
You can of course be invoiced for the £45 attendance fee (note our online booking system indicates the invoice ticket as £0, you will be invoiced for £45).
If you do not work at a UCEA member institution and are interested finding out more about this course please email events@ucea.ac.uk

Book your UCEA member HEI's places (max three) via tickettailor.

If you would like to join the waiting list for a fourth (or more) place, or have another other queries, please email events@ucea.ac.uk
