Immigration HR network meeting

We are happy to confirm that the next Immigration HR Network (IHRN) meeting for HR professionals responsible for the recruitment and employment of overseas nationals will be held as an online meeting using Microsoft Teams on Wednesday 5 July
The meeting will commence at 10.30 am and will run for approximately an hour and a half, finishing no later than 12.00 noon.

The agenda is still being finalised but is likely to include the following issues:
  • ATAS update
  • MAC SOL review
  • UKVI/Home Office updates

Confirmed speakers are:

  • Harry Anderson, Policy Manager, Universities UK
  • Tim Currie, Staff Immigration Officer at the University of Oxford
  • Stephen Longson, Immigration and Compliance Manager at UKRI
The aim of these meetings is to be as interactive and practical as possible – discussing or seeking support on issues affecting HE immigration teams. As such, please do contact Alison McGrand with suggestions for:
  • Issues to discuss or seek feedback on from other IHRN members
  • Examples of work that you have done that you would like to share with IHRN members.

Joining the network meeting

You will be able to join the meeting either via the Microsoft Teams App, via your web browser (i.e. Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Safari), or via your phone.

Who should attend, attendance fee and how to book

The Immigration Network meetings are some of our most popular events. To ensure that as many HEIs as possible have access to places, whilst ensuring that discussions can take place, the maximum number of attendees for this meeting is 100.

We will therefore limit places to two places per HEI. Institutions which make more than two bookings will be asked to confirm the names of the two colleagues who will attend the meeting. Waiting list priority will be given to HEIs without representation.

The attendee fee for this online Immigration HR network meeting is at a special participation fee of £45 per place (VAT free) for UCEA members.

When booking a place, you now have the option of paying online by credit card (note our online booking system indicates the ticket as £45).
You can of course be invoiced for the £45 attendance fee (note our online booking system indicates the invoice ticket as £0, you will be invoiced for £45).
Book your HEI's place via tickettailor

If you would like to join the waiting list for a third or fourth place, or have any other queries, please email
