Published in July 2015 by UCEA with the support of EIS, GMB, UCU, Unison and Unite on behalf of New JNCHES. This report resulted from a commitment made in the New JNCHES agreement 2014/15 to undertake joint work on gender pay in HE, specifically to build on the New JNCHES Equal Pay Survey 2013.
It looks at qualitative information on gender pay interventions, with a view to identifying and actively promoting good practice. It includes qualitative examples from within and beyond HE to understand better the nature of gender pay gaps where they exist, the possible reasons for these, and the types of measures being taken to address them.
