Equal pay reviews and gender pay gap reporting workshop

This workshop on Tuesday 21 January focuses on equal pay reviews and gender pay gap reporting. It has been designed to explain how the two processes differ and highlights the practical implications for planning and conducting reviews of organisational pay and reward.

Participants will take away an understanding of how to scope an equal pay review, what factors to take into account in carrying it out, how it links to gender pay gap reporting and how to communicate results and plan for further action.

The workshop covers the regulatory framework, relevant case studies and New JNCHES equal pay guidance. It will provide participants with the knowledge, information and practical resources that will enable them to conduct their own equal pay review. It will also highlight the issues that HE employers will need to consider to ensure that they comply with the gender pay gap reporting regulations.

The workshop is aimed at HR and equality and diversity professionals who are involved in commissioning or conducting equal pay reviews or pay gap analyses. Participants will be taken through the steps of a review by our facilitator Dr Duncan Brown, Head of HR Consultancy at the Institute for Employment Studies (IES), who will discuss worked examples of reports from a range of different sources and facilitate the practical exercises.

There will be plenty of opportunity for participants to discuss their own issues, ask questions and share their experiences and learning from their own reviews conducted to date. Attendance is restricted to a maximum of 25 participants for this very practical and participative workshop.

This workshop will take place at a central London venue between 10.00 am and 3.30 pm (registration from 9.30 am) on Tuesday 21 January
