We are happy to confirm that the next Immigration HR Network (IHRN) meeting for HR professionals responsible for the recruitment and employment of overseas nationals will be held as an online meeting using Microsoft Teams on Tuesday 23 February.
The meeting will commence at 10.30 am and will run for approximately an hour, finishing no later than 12.00 noon.
The agenda is still being finalised but is likely to include the following issues:
- New PBS and immigration regime – ‘teething’ issues and practical points
- Ongoing issues or concerns due to the coronavirus pandemic
- Updates on Global Talent Visa and EU Settlement Scheme
Confirmed speakers are:
- Harry Anderson, Policy Manager at Universities UK
- Stephen Longson, Immigration Manager at UK SBS
- Tim Currie, Staff Immigration Officer at the University of Oxford
- Linda Holliday, UKRI
The aim of these meetings is to be as interactive and practical as possible – discussing or seeking support on issues affecting HE immigration teams. As such, please do contact Alison (email@example.com) with suggestions for:
- Issues to discuss or seek feedback on from other IHRN members
- Examples of work that you have done that you would like to share with IHRN members.
You will be able to join the meeting either via the Microsoft Teams App, via your web browser (i.e. Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Safari), or via your phone.
Joining the network meeting
The Immigration Network meetings are some of our most popular events. To ensure that as many HEIs as possible have access to places, whilst ensuring that discussions can take place, the maximum number of attendees for this meeting is 80.
How should attend, attendance fee and how to book
We will therefore limit places to one place per HEI. Institutions which make more than one booking will be asked to confirm the name of the colleague who will attend the meeting. Waiting list priority will be given to HEIs without representation.
The attendee fee for this online Immigration HR network meeting is at a special participation fee of £40 per place (VAT free).
When booking a place, you now have the option of paying online by credit card (note our online booking system indicates the ticket as £40).
You can of course be invoiced for the £40 attendance fee (note our online booking system indicates the invoice ticket as £0, you will be invoiced for £40).
