Led by Nicola Carter, Senior Consultant (Employment Policy) at UCEA, with specialist input from Helen Mortlock, Legal Director at Eversheds Sutherland LLP, this session revisits core topics and takes participants through the key issues that HR colleagues involved in the employment lifecycle of clinical academics need to be fully aware of, including:
• Joint working with the NHS (the Follett principles)
• Licensing and revalidation
• Pay (consultants and trainees/junior doctors)
• Developments in excellence awards
• Dispute resolution
The workshop includes timely updates on developments such as clinical excellence awards and other considerations that impact clinical academics from an employment perspective.
