Creating a safe and supportive employee experience is UCEA’s annual conference on health, safety and wellbeing

In times of organisational change, maintaining high standards of health, safety, and workforce wellbeing becomes increasingly challenging yet crucial. 
 

Event overview

What to expect? 
This year’s conference has the theme of Creating a safe and supportive employee experience and will cover health, safety and wellbeing strategies from launch to delivery, focussing on internal communications and ongoing monitoring of the impact and effectiveness of wellbeing initiatives. It will also look at how organisational change programmes can impact staff wellbeing.

  • Update from the Universities Safety and Health Association - Scott Trim, Chair of the Universities Safety and Health Association
  • Embedding the new Leadership and Management of Health and Safety Standards - Jane Ball, Head of Health and Safety, The Open University
  • Developing and implementing a new workplace health and safety governance framework at University of YorkDev Agarwal, Director of Workplace Health, Safety, and Wellbeing, University of York
  • Communicating health and wellbeing initiatives to raise awareness, and reaching the multigenerational workforce - Roundtable discussions
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of health and wellbeing initiatives - Professor Jo Yarker, Professor in Occupational Psychology, Birkbeck, University of London
  • The impact of Organisational Change on Health, Safety and Wellbeing, including psychological safety - Sarah Valentine, Environment, Health and Safety Team, Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP.
The conference will be chaired by Mike Parker, Chair of the Board of Governors, Liverpool John Moores University and member of the UCEA Board.
