What to expect? 
Nicola Bennison, Partner, Head of Education Sector Group and David O’Hara, Principal Associate at Eversheds Sutherland will present a comprehensive update on key employment law developments, tailored for senior HR professionals in member HEIs.


This year’s event will cover:

  • Employment Rights Bill – an update on the latest proposals, timeframes, further consultations, and preparing for new legislation  
  • Freedom of Speech – bearing in mind the announcement that the government will be introducing legislation
  • Developments on sexual harassment – including the changes that came in October 2024, the updated EHRC guidance and the OfS condition of registration on harassment and sexual misconduct which will, in relation to most of the provisions, apply from 1 August 2025
  • Neurodiversity and reasonable adjustments – what are the employer’s legal responsibilities in relation to neurodiverse employees, given that many neurodiverse conditions may be considered “hidden disabilities”
