UCEA update on talks
Yesterday’s third session of exploratory talks between UCEA, UCU and the other joint unions’ side secretary continued to discuss obstacles to resuming negotiations and bringing an end to the Marking and Assessment Boycott. The meeting was adjourned with an agreement for talks to continue.
It is disappointing that UCU has once again failed to be fair and transparent to its own members, falsely claiming that UCEA's Board 'will reconsider their position and come back to us after the UCEA Board meet'. This was never agreed in the yesterday's talks. UCEA's Board did meet today to discuss the talks and UCEA will soon write to UCU to clarify issues and update HE institutions respectively.
