Pensions as part of a reward strategy and implications of McCloud

UCEA has together with Isio, designed two online events where we will explore pensions and reward from the viewpoint of HEIs that participate in the public service schemes. We will examine current challenges, opportunities and forward thinking, including how pensions provision can be communicated as a valuable and tangible part of the overall reward and employment package. Each event will offer time for Q&A and discussion.

The events are designed for HR and Finance Directors, Reward, Pensions and HR Managers in UCEA member HEIs. Pre-92 HEIs using TPS and LGPS as well as HEIs that offer the NHS Pension Scheme to clinical academic staff are welcome to attend. You can attend one or both events, noting that the focus of each event is different.

Pensions as part of a reward strategy and implications of McCloud

This second event is Pensions as part of a reward strategy and implications of McCloud and takes place online between 1 pm and 3.45 pm on the afternoon of Tuesday 12 December.

This second event is intended for HR leads, Reward specialists and those who are involved in developing an Employee Value Proposition (EVP) as part of a holistic approach to improving the employee experience. The event will use recent research and case studies to suggest how a different pensions provision can be set up and communicated throughout the employee’s journey, so that it is seen as a valuable and tangible part of the overall reward and employment package.

It will include the following sessions and speakers:
  • Designing a modern reward and pensions package: a data driven approach - Roshan Israni, UCEA Deputy Chief Executive, UCEA and Charlotte Gibson, DC Pensions Senior Manager and Will Aitken, Director, Isio
  • In the shoes of members: Communications including the McCloud Remedy - Florence Templeton, Pensions Consultant, Isio and Jo Cole, Engagement Manager (Employer), Teachers’ Pensions
