UCEA letter to UCU - 4 July 2023
UCEA’s 4 July response to UCU’s letter of 30 June is publicly available*.
While UCU’s “provisos” include unacceptable preconditions UCEA has proposed a meeting with UCU to explore a potential process for resolution of the dispute which could lead to the marking and assessment boycott being suspended. Such a meeting would seek to explore the current obstacles to a resolution and whether a basis can be identified for the resumption of negotiations between UCEA and the Joint HE Trade Unions.
*both letters sit on the 2023-24 New JNCHES pay round webpage
